Singer Joy Villa walked the red carpet with a custom made gown emblazoned with President Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan, garnering much praise and criticism online for the attention-grabbing stunt.

Villa turned up to the event wearing an all-white shawl before pulling it off to reveal the star-studded “MAGA” dress with “TRUMP” written in big letters on the skirt’s train.

According to Fox News, her music sales skyrocketed since. Her EP “I Make the Static” jumped to the top of Amazon’s paid albums list. Her album shot up to No. 7 on the iTunes top album chart.

“Go big, or go home. You can either stand for what you believe or fall for what you don’t. Above all make a choice for tolerance and love. Agree to disagree,” she wrote on Instagram.

“Sometimes you just gotta be free to express yourself,” she also wrote. “Thank you to all of my supporters and fellow believers. Life is about living free and loving it. Be your beautiful selves tonight!”

Andre Soriano, who designed the dress, wrote on the social media website that it’s a “tribute [to] OUR President Of The United States Of America” while adding that hashtag “#MAGA.”

I applaud her bravery and committment to principle. #MAGA#JoyVillahttps://t.co/klNtWxkYAD
